Okay, yes. This is the last of the NYFW 2017 posts!! I decided to break them up by day because honestly.. there are so many outfit photos!! Haha! We wore at least 2 outfits every day and I definitely wanted the good photos on the blog. (A) Because I paid a lot for them #justkeepinitreal and B) because a lot of these outfits can work as fall wedding guest attire and I’ve been getting a lot of questions about that recently!) I also think that it eliminated a huge long post of rambling, so let me know if you liked it set up this way so I know for next time!!
Sunday was my “shoot day”, and if I have one suggestion to new bloggers that have never been to NYFW but would like to go, it’s don’t shoot at the end of your trip! Haha! I really should have shot Thursday or Friday intead of Sunday. It’s best to post photos in real time at NYFW and most photographers offer special 1 day turn around-time just for the occasion. It was difficult because I didn’t really know my final show schedule until the week before, but photographers book up wayyy in advance. So just know that you may have to make some sacrifices to get your shoots in! My first shoot was with Madison (after another blowout by Blo Blow Dry Bar of course!)
I then picked up pizza from Joe’s (pro tip: cash only), cupcakes from Sweets by Chloe and ran to the Homeaway for a quick change before heading to the Leanne Marshall show at Skylight Clarkson with Whitney and Jaclyn. I’ll admit that I don’t watch Project Runway, but if you are familiar with the show, she was a winner of one of the seasons and designs bridesmaids dresses/bridal collections/ ready to wear! The collection was beautiful and we had really good seats, so this event was one of my favorites! From Leanne Marshall we Ubered over to Chelsea Piers for Lisa Hoang’s collection. It was a little raunchier than I expected if I’m being honest haha but we still enjoyed it.
Directly after Lisa Hoang I had another shoot with Luisa, and then we had dinner reservations at Palma in West Village. This was probably the best meal I had during my stay in Manhattan!! I had the lobster pasta and a really good Chianti.
Monday was a free day (we collectively decided to skip our afternoon events), so the 4 of us girls went to Pietro Nolita (the famous all-pink bistro; I was in total heaven) for lunch and then headed to 5th avenue and Times Square to shop!!
On the whole Uber ride to the airport, I couldn’t help but think about (besides how tired I was haha) how blessed I was to have gone on this beautiful trip with new friends I made this year and how far this journey has taken me. I don’t always know what the future has in store for DWTO, but I know it’s bright. Thanks for reading!
