The number one fashion-related question my girlfriends always ask me is “What do I wear to the wedding I have coming up?!” I know a lot of y’all will want to re-purpose dresses for special occasions. I mean, let’s be honest, who wants to spend upwards of $100 on a nice dress and only wear it once?! With Easter this weekend, spring weddings, and graduations right around the corner, I thought it would be helpful to round up dresses that can be worn for multiple events.
First, you’ll always want to take a clue from the wedding invitation and the wedding venue for an idea of attire. Usually for spring, it’s safe to assume that anything lace or floral is appropriate. (This post won’t address black tie weddings or themed weddings.)
All you have to do to shop the dresses below is click on the item you like. It will take you directly to the retailer where you can shop them! Easy peasy 🙂

You should also keep in mind how revealing your dress is! This dress has a more open back, with criss-cross straps. I love it for outdoor weddings and for receptions. But if a friend were to be getting married in a conservative church, or if I were to wear this at my own church for Easter, I’d probably wear a cardigan to cover up for that portion! Below are some of my picks for easy spring cardigans/shawls:
At a wedding, you’ll never wear white. I would hope you didn’t need to read this to realize it, but let me repeat it again! DON’T WEAR WHITE TO A WEDDING. Haha! Maybe this will make me sound like a Bridezilla-to-be, but if someone ever wore white to my wedding I would ask them to leave. #dramatic #itsfine
My roommate freshman year of college got married and I had a cute spring dress I wanted to wear to her wedding. It was an ivory/cream color and I asked her about it. She totally loved it and gave me her blessing. But when it came to the day of, I felt like people were staring at me and in pictures it came out looking more white than it did in person. I was SO embarrassed. Granted, I was like 18 years old and didn’t know better at the time.. but I will NEVER make that mistake again!
That all being said, Easter and graduations are perfect occasions to wear white. And if you’re like me, a true Texas gal, you might even be stocking up on white dresses for football season! OR perhaps you’re a bride-to-be and are looking for inspiration for your next bridal shower! Here are my picks for white dresses:

I hope this post was helpful, and am happy to take more requests in the future about different topics! By the way, for the procrastinators out there like me, the burgundy fit and flare lace dress I’m wearing has 2 day shipping. Lots of these dresses have 1 hour in-store pick up options too if you still haven’t found an Easter dress!
Always happy to help 😉
